General Information
The HTCASA is running the 5th Annual SA HTC Cup at Mallala, proudly sponsored by THR Developments. Please consider running at this great event, November 1-2 2008.
This event is similar in stature and popularity to the SA Easter Historic event – you only need to ask the competitors how much they enjoy this event. Its relaxed and friendly with plenty of track time - you must be there!
The SA HTC Cup is being run with Rd 9 of the Shannons National Series. We are expecting good crowds, a capacity grid and a great weekend to go with it. There will be social events, FREE BBQ’s at the track and trophies for all classes.
The event is being run 1 week before Historic Sandown; if you are from interstate why not make it a great couple of weekends of back-to-back Historic Touring Car Racing.
Previous Outright Winners are:
- 2004 Robert Braune (NcB Charger)
- 2005 Roger Oliver (NbA Falcon Sprint)
- 2006 Robert Braune (NcB Charger)
- 2007 Rob Vanderkamp (NcA Falcon GTHO)
The HTCASA are subsidising entries to only $250. Summary of costs:
- Friday practice (optional) $100
- Event entry fee $250
- Garage hire $165 (for 3 days) optional
Please call or email with any queries.

Documentation and Process
Before the Event
-
Competitors need to download and read the following. Please write a note on the top of the entry form requesting a shed.
| Entry Form | Meeting Regs | Series Regs |
-
Fill out the entry form and post it along with a cheque for $250 made out to HTCASA before Monday 13 October, to:
Category Manager
Po Box 385
Kent Town
S.A. 5071
Friday of the Event
Documentation checks will need to occur on Friday, collected by the Category Manager and submitted in bulk. However more than likely only a few cars will be presented, with the bulk turning up Saturday. With the Category Manager in Sydney for a wedding on Saturday, a proxy (read sucker) will be found. The Proxy wont have much time on Saturday so it needs to run like clock work.
Sheds
The HTCASA are to be allocated a block of sheds by the Shannons Series manager, hopefully enough for all cars. All sheds will be booked through the club, not through Clem or the Track. The earlier you get your event entry form in the higher you will be on the list and will be guaranteed a garage and the choice of who to share it with!
- Print out the following and fill in ready for Friday / Saturday morning.
| Entry Confirmation, Targeted Scrutiny and Pit Lane Disclaimer |
- The following will need to be provided to the Category Manager:
- Entry Confirmation, Targeted Scrutiny and Pit Lane Disclaimer form (completed)
- CAMS Drivers licence and CAMS Competitors licence (if applicable)
- CAMS Vehicle Logbook
- Current CAMS affiliated club membership card
- Payment for garage if applicable ($165)
Cars that have not had their Pre Race Inspection under the Targeted Scrutiny program must be scrutineered prior to commencing any track activity.
On Saturday morning all scrutiny will be conducted in the sheds at a time TBA.
If your car needs to be scrutineered at the track you will need to drop all paper work to the Category Manager very early so documentation can be checked before scrutineering.
